Currently form i 751 costs $595 for a filing fee, plus $85 for a biometrics fee. If you include yourself and your child/children into one petition, then you will have to pay additional biometrics fee for each person (each conditional resident and conditional resident dependent included in the principal petitioner’s Form I-751). For example, if you included yourself and 2 children in your petition, then you must pay 595+85×3=850 US dollars. These two fees are to be paid directly to USCIS when you mail your I-751 Form. All the above information concerns conditional residents.
Meanwhile, if you are the U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse, you do not need to include a biometric services fee at the same time you submit the petition (submit only the $595 filing fee). USCIS will send you a biometric services appointment notice with instructions on how to submit the additional fee later.
The filing fee and biometric services fee are not refundable, regardless of any action USCIS takes on this petition. Also, do not mail cash, use check or money order.
If you are currently experiencing financial hardship, receive a means-tested benefit or your household income is at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, you may be eligible for a fee waiver. In this case, you will additionally have to complete Form I-912, Request for Fee Waiver, and file it together with Form I-751 and with documents proving your inability to pay the filing fee.
Please also note that all USCIS fees change periodically, so to make sure that the fees are correct you may visit the USCIS official website or simply contact us.
