Home  »  Knowledge base  »  Do e-notifications from USCIS include personal information?

USCIS will send you an e-notification within 24 hours after they accept your primary application together with your Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance. E-Notifications do not include any personal information, including your name, as this would contradict the security policy. The received e-mail or text message will display only your receipt number and tell you how to get updated case status information.

Please also note that domestic customers may receive an e-mail and/or a text message, while overseas customers may receive only an e-mail.
